Artico Apache Stand Up 50-80lbs

The Apache range also includes the Acid series, comprising two models specifically designed for stand-up boat fishing with spiral-wrapped guides.

While retaining the advanced construction and technical features of the Apache range, these rods have been purpose-built to make the most of a spiral guide layout. The positioning of the guides is carefully calculated to suit the way the blank bends under different loads, allowing it to perform efficiently throughout a full 360° rotation.

Under pressure, the rod works through both bending and torsional forces, making more effective use of the blank's power and helping to optimise its overall performance. By contrast, conventional in-line guide layouts do not distribute these forces in the same way, potentially limiting how effectively the blank's full capabilities are used.

The result is a specialised stand-up rod design that combines the Apache's proven power and reliability with the advantages of a carefully engineered spiral guide system.
